Cultural & Sports Activities

Formally session for 1st semester students starts with special ‘Ardaas’, for these students followed by Lungar on birth day of Guru Ramdas Khalsa ji, on whose name the technical wing of GGSES is founded.

‘Aagaaz’ is our annual event in which all seniors give welcome party to the fresher’s. ‘Aagaaz’ is packed with cultural activities, fun and lot of dhoom- dhakada, followed by sumptuous lunch. Last year the sequel of ‘Aagaaz’ was ‘Aagaaz - The Reprise’.

In the month of November, GGSES hosts a lungar on occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti in which all component of GRKIST group of institutions also participate whole heartily. Before Lungar phenomenal rally is organized covering all main streets of town.

‘Parvaaz’ is the name given to annual function of all components of GRKIST group of Institutions, which was organized on 5th April’08. Honorable speaker of M.P. Legislative Assembly, Shri Ishwar Das Rohani was Chief Guest & Mrs.Neeta Pateriya, Member of Parliament was Chair Person. ‘Parvaaz’ was phenomenal success & all viewers appreciated the zeal and enthusiasm of participants.

‘Pharmaswing’ is the of Annual cultural & sports event of GRKIST (Pharmacy), in which cultural/ literary competitions namely debate, extempore, rangoli, drawing, flower decoration , salad Dressing and games competition namely chess, carom, inter -collegiate cricket tournaments are organized.

‘Pharmaswing08’ organized from 5th to 8th October’08, was a mega event, as in totality 16 different sports activities were being organized. Uniqueness of Pharmaswing’08 was Girls Cricket match, Girls Kho-kho competition, for the first time. Besides these cricket competition (Boys), Volley ball, Kabbadi, 100meter race, 200 meter race, relay race, needle race, lemon race, sack race, tug of war etc.

During all four days students had setup food & games stalls offering Phalahari to variety of eatables. The simultaneous fate was fun, filling & taught students entrepreneur skills.

In’Pharmaswing08’ Ankit Verma Memorial Trophy for overall championship in outdoor sports was given to B. Pharm V semester students. Ankit Verma Memorial Trophy for best stall was given to B Pharm VII semester group. Prize distribution was done by Mr. S. M. Singh, Grievance & welfare Officer & Director, G.G.S.E.S.
